The European Winter School on MLIR 2027 will take place at Big Sky in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France.

Stay package: Monday 4 January noon (included) → Friday 8 January noon (excluded).
People who wish to arrive on Sunday can arrange an extra night directly with the hotel (outside the school package).

Note: Big Sky is about 5.5 km from the Chamonix SNCF train station. Plan your arrival accordingly.

The hotel provides a free shuttle. More information will be given at registration.

Getting Here

  • Train: Chamonix-Mont-Blanc SNCF station (then ~5.5 km to the hotel — use the hotel shuttle or a taxi).
  • Plane: Geneva airport (~1 h by car/shuttle); Lyon airport (~2 h by car).
  • Car: free parking at the hotel; Geneva ~1 h, Lyon ~2 h, Paris ~6 h.

Accommodation

Full-board accommodation (study days with breaks and lunch, dinners, and lodging) is included in the registration price. Attendants can choose between single and double rooms during registration.

Aiguille du Midi

Optional social

An optional half-day outing to the Aiguille du Midi is planned on Wednesday morning, depending on weather. Cost is separate (~€70 / person, approximate) and collected at registration. See the Program for the draft schedule.
